M3 2026 - It's on in
The Majura Military Megarace (M3) is a fitness and fundraising challenge at Majura Range, Canberra to support Legacy
In teams of four, competitors take on a course of obstacles, bush trails and team-based military challenges while raising funds to support Legacy Canberra and their work supporting veterans' families. M3 is the only event of its kind open to civilian competitors on an active military base in Canberra.
We know you don't need any more encouragement, but ...

Where is the event and how do I get there?
- The Majura Military Megarace (M3) is held at Majura Military Range, located off Majura Road, Majura, out past the AFP Majura Police Complex.
- The main entrance to the Range is Range Road, and event signage will be clearly displayed on the day.
- Parking is available onsite. Participants can drive, carpool, or arrange a bus for larger groups and will be guided to the registration area onsite.
What time does the event start?
- Teams should arrive at least one hour before their wave time (but not before 8:15 AM) to check in and attend the safety briefing.
- Each team will be assigned a wave time from 9:15 AM onwards.
- Wave times will be allocated in the week leading up to the event by email to team captains.
How long is the course and what should I expect to do?
The Majura Range Course course is approximately 6km – A Fun, Achievable Challenge
- Go at your own pace – Whether you want to walk, jog, or run, it’s up to you; but there is a prize for the best time.
- Know what to expect – You’ll get a description of the obstacles at the event, but be prepared to test your endurance, agility, balance, and coordination as well as teamwork and mental resilience. You will get wet and dirty: be prepared to climb under and over obstacles, lift and carry weights, and of course run/jump/jog/walk around the course.
- It’s all about effort, not perfection – This course is designed to be challenging but achievable for all fitness levels.
What should I bring/wear on the day?
- Photo ID (required for entry)
- Water bottle to stay hydrated
- Phone (for use before and after the challenge)
- Change of clothes, including dry socks, warm layers and a towel
- Comfortable running or trail shoes
- Participants must wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt for safety.
- Teams are encouraged to wear matching outfits.
- Jewellery, watches and electronic devices are not permitted on the course.
- Mobile phones and GoPros are not permitted while completing the course.

COMPETE
Take part in the Megarace at Majura Range! You’ll experience a full briefing from an active Army Personal Training Instructor before the event.
“I am so grateful for Legacy. They made me feel safe and less alone. I could talk about my feelings and not feel judged.”
Mia’s dad gave a lot in service to our nation. For almost 10 years, he served in the Australian Army’s 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, including on the frontline in East Timor.
Tragically, when Mia was six, her beloved father took his life.
Legacy has been part of Mia’s life since she lost her father. And for that, she is incredibly grateful.
